Bilt Rent Day, August 2026: Accor Status
Tl;dr: Bilt is offering a relatively easy way to earn status with hotel chain Accor—but it might not be worth it.
Rent Day is back with the usual goodies: double points on non-rent purchases (up to 1,000 bonus points), Rent Free, and assorted special events (this time, a chance to meet NFL star Odell Beckham Jr.).
There’s no big transfer bonus this month, but there is a chance to earn hotel status with Accor.
Accor Status Match
If you’re not familiar, Accor is a French hotel chain that operates over 5,000 hotels in over 100 countries. It has a fixed-value points system: ALL (Accor Live Limitless) points can be redeemed in 2,000-point increments for 40€, or the equivalent, off of the cost of your stay, for a value of 2 euro cents per point. Bilt points transfer to ALL at a 3:2 ratio, meaning Bilt points are worth about 1.5¢ each at current exchange rates when transferred to Accor. That’s solid value (better than Bilt’s fixed 1.25¢ when booking through Bilt), but only if you find an Accor for a similar price/value than what you would have otherwise booked.
With August’s Rent Day benefit, transferring points can also get you elite status:
Bilt members with Blue (free) and Silver status can match to Accor Silver status by transferring 5,000 or more points to Accor on Rent Day.
Bilt members with Gold status can match to Accor Gold status by transferring 5,000 or more points to Accor on Rent Day.
Bilt members with Platinum status can match to Accor Platinum status by transferring 15,000 or more points to Accor on Rent Day.
Platinum status will last through the end of 2027, while Silver or Gold status will last for 12 months once activated (you’ll receive an activation link via email). Interestingly, there doesn’t seem to be a way to upgrade your status with Bilt Cash (not that that would be a particularly good use of Bilt Cash).
You can check out Accor’s status benefits here. Silver includes a welcome drink and late checkout. Gold adds room upgrades and welcome amenities, while Platinum adds suite upgrades and lounge access.
Why I’m Transferring Points—and Why I Don’t Recommend It
Crucially, ALL points expire after 12 months of inactivity. This is the third Bilt Rent Day to feature Accor. The first time, I transferred points to get elite status, but I wasn’t able to use those points within 12 months. So I transferred a few more to extend their shelf life. Then I finally was able to find an Accor hotel to stay in, but I wasn’t able to use all the ALL points—I still had leftovers that would expire if unused—so I doubled down by transferring some more during Bilt’s big January 2026 transfer bonus.
So I’m now stuck on the treadmill. Accor has some nice affordable properties in Europe, so I’ll eventually make use of these points, and I might as well have status when I do. But if I could go back, I probably wouldn’t have transferred the points in the first place. I’m lazy and it hasn’t been worth the hassle.

If you regularly stay at Accor properties, Bilt’s August Rent Day could provide an easy way to boost your status. But I wouldn’t recommend a transfer unless you’re prepared to devote a decent amount of attention to the program.
