LazyPoints Is Getting Lazier (In a Good Way)
Starting next week, LazyPoints is switching to a new posting schedule:
🗓 One blog post every Wednesday
📬 One newsletter every Sunday
No more Saturday posts — we’re moving that content into the Sunday newsletter. Or at least that’s the plan! We may host the content somewhere on Lazypoints.com. We’re a work in progress. 🚧 But the newsletter will be coming for sure.
Why the change?
I’ve been posting on Wednesdays and Saturdays for over two years now. And while I’ve loved writing about my various schemes to fly to Japan, it’s a lot for someone with a full-time job.
A while back I switched to weekly recap posts on Saturday to highlight more timely news and lighten the load. But it turns out that devoting Friday nights to blogging rather than watching TV on the couch is not on-brand for LazyPoints.
The goal has always been the same: help you get easy value from your points without having to think too much about it. And the basic recipe is pretty simple — get a few good cards, max out some sign-up bonuses, and sprinkle in a few set-and-forget or one-click hacks. That doesn’t require two full posts a week.
As for the timely news, new promos, and point-earning opportunities I’ve been covering on Saturdays — they don’t need a full post, but they’re still worth knowing. And you shouldn’t miss them just because you didn’t check the blog on a random Saturday. So we’ll bring them to you instead.
What you’ll get now
The Wednesday blog post continues as always. Redemption breakdowns, card reviews, big-picture news, and more ways to fly to Japan — it’s not going anywhere.
The new Sunday newsletter will round up everything else:
One actually important news story, promo, or deadline (if there is one — I’m not above skipping a week if it’s quiet out there)
A link to that week’s blog post (in case you missed it)
A sign up bonus worth highlighting
Quick hits: point-earning opportunities, brand promos, giveaways, etc.
The idea is to give you what matters, once a week, in a quick, useful, scrollable format. Less pressure for me, less noise for you.
Want in?
If you’re not on the LazyPoints newsletter yet, you can sign up here. It’s free, chill, and shows up just once a week. No spam. Just stuff that helps you travel better — the lazy way.
Thanks for reading
LazyPoints isn’t going anywhere — just shifting gears a little so I can keep showing up consistently and sustainably.
I appreciate you being here. See you Wednesday in the blog, and Sunday in your inbox.
