You Don’t Need to Optimize Each Redemption

Tl;dr: Points are a tool. Don’t stress too much about perfect redemptions.

A few weeks ago, my mom came to visit for her birthday. It was also our anniversary, so it was the perfect time for a “special occasion” dinner. My mom had never had a Michelin-starred meal, and Chase happened to be offering $75 off a $150+ purchase at restaurants including one of the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurants in the country.
